Welcome to Footfall Cardigans! Our website has been created to showcase our beloved dogs, both Cardigans and Newfoundlands. Our dogs come first and are always treated as companions and partners. All of the show and performance activities are just icing on the cake. We will never produce a large number of puppies in our lifetime as that is not our goal. What we do strive for in our occassional breedings is to produce correct dogs who can compare to the breed standard without sacrificing health and temperament.

Since 1999 we have cared for our dogs using solely the methods associated with Natural Rearing. We feed our dogs a species appropriate diet, limit vaccines and do not use chemicals on our dogs or in our home. Inquiries whom subscribe to a holisitic lifestyle for their potential canine partners will always receive first consideration. We are currently located on the North Shore of Long Island, 40 miles east of the metro New York area.

In an effort to grow and expand our small breeding program, we are bringing in new lines and are working with other conscientious breeders who are supportive of our goals. 2008 should prove to be a year of change for us.
